1 cup of Cacao Almonds (puree this in a blender)
3 Packets on individual servings Natural Oat (brown sugar) From Whole Foods
1 more cup of plain instant oats
2 Cap fulls Natural 100% Organic North American Maple Syrup (No Canadian Maples around here I guess)
1 Large handful of Organic Raisins
1 egg or 1 tbsp of Flax (mixed with 2 tbsp of H2O and gelled)
1 large tbp of Natural Flax seed/ Peanut butter by my favourit spread company Earth Balance
1/3 banana mashed up
1 package of 100% natural applesauce to go (you can also use a 1/4 cup of apple sauce or just under 1 serving from baby food)
Mix it, and roll in balls
Bake at 350 degrees for 10min, then take a fork, squish them flatter like a cookie, flip after 5 more minutes, and cook for about 5 more.
I call these scrap, because I literally decided last minute to make something for Zion to munch on while we are shopping or in between workouts at the gym when we are on the road. Being in another country I obviously don’t have all my major cooking ingredients/utensils. Now these don’t quite qualify as a cookie, but work with me here.
Zion gobbled them up fresh off the pan, and they have been perfect for snacks in the middle of the day
